As Co-Lead Designer for the Northern Design Festival, I am responsible for overseeing the social media design and aesthetic. My role is to capture NDF’s essence through the design elements. This alternates from promoting small buildup events through campaigns, to announcement posts, to even print design should the event need it.
This campaign had an aim of creating an engaging 12-day Christmas Advent Calendar themed around design, to increase engagement and a community feel over the Christmas period. When designing, I went with a modern and contemporary look that blended NDF’s bold use of type and colour with a Christmas theme. I created 8 design templates, which we were able to alternate between depending on the copy and imagery that we were working with. By having a systematic framework for templates, it made work flow much smoother.
ANALYTICS:
9.4% increase in followers, impressions increased by over 10,000, average engagement rate of 3.31% accross the 12 day period.
